March 26, 2006: Ah! My Goddess TV, Second Season.

Still needs more Peorth.

Man, should I be this stoked about the second season of Aa! Megami-sama? Probably not, but I can't help it.

The best thing about the second season of Aa! Megami-sama TV (Sorezore no Tsubasa) is Peorth. No surprise, since Peorth is the best character in the manga as well, as far as I'm concerned.

Don't let Peorth get bored. You'll be sore all week.

The series retains the same voice actress for Peorth as the movie, but she plays the character a little too flibbertigibbety for my tastes. As per the movie, I had always imagined Peorth in the manga as retaining a generally mature tone of voice even when she was just screwing around (which admittedly is pretty damn often).

Peorth and Keiichi
And don't let her get too worked up, either.

She arguably does not properly belong among the other contenders for the title, as her character was first introduced both in manga and anime form years ago, but I'd still like to nominate Peorth for Best Character Design of 2006.

Ah, Peorth, the Goddess of Fanservice.

Urd looms over Peorth and Keiichi
Seriously, that is some good hair.

And anime hair.

Somewhere along the way, Aa! Megami-sama: Sorezore no Tsubasa turned into a really good series. How about that?
