June 22, 2005: Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo in AnimagaOkusama wa Mahou Shoujo poster from volume 15 of Dengeki Ani-Maga (or simply Animaga):
The 2560x1024 wallpaper is centered better, but that's more a limitation of my original scan. You're nuts if you think I'm going to rescan it just for that. February 21, 2004:Gundam SEED wallpaper for dual monitors, featuring Kira Yamato and Asuran Zala being, uh, rather festive with each other.
The source image comes a calendar found in the January 2004 issue of Animage magazine.
February 18, 2004:Neon Genesis Evangelion dual-monitor wallpaper featuring Misato, Rei, Asuka, and Ritsuko reclining in their jammies.
The source image comes from the centerfold of the November 2003 issue of Newtype USA. It's a pity the dimensions were not suitable for a 3200x1200 wallpaper because the source image itself dictated that only the taller aspect ratio was feasible, but here it is for those of you using dual LCD screens. February 15, 2004:Shingetsutan Tsukihime dual-monitor wallpaper featuring Arcueid, Hisui, Kohaku, and Akiha standing around the yard some autumn evening.
The source image comes a calendar found in the January 2004 issue of Animage magazine.
Ciel got cut out the picture because she was hunkered down in front of everyone else, roasting yams in a pile of burning leaves. I guess without this context, it's not otherwise clear why Hisui and Kohaku are holding yams, and that the stick in Arcueid's hands is actually a broom. February 01, 2004:In some more bandwidth-killing news, I present the following new dual-monitor wallpapers featuring Sakuraba Aoi from Ai Yori Aoshi:
The 2560x1024 version isn't as clean as the 3200x1200 one because I realized that I suck at implementing Smart Blur, etc., and just decided it was taking too long and that I didn't care anymore. The source image comes from a two-page Geneon adverstisement found in the January 2004 issue of Animage magazine. [Update 2005-06-27: Thanks to Funnylink for his revision of the 3200x1200 version.] January 25, 2004:
So, in other news, using dual 19-inch CRT monitors is fucking sweet. However, it is somewhat difficult to find high resolution dual-monitor wallpaper. So, for now, I'm using this 3200x1200 Mahoro wallpaper I made from a Megami scan. Unfortunately, the original picture was rather small, so I'm having a Hell of a time cleaning it up. The 2560x1024 version looks considerably nicer, but I'm afraid the original source image is just too small to be enlarged this much. Also, my Photoshop skills are somewhat poor. We can ignore for the time being the question as to whether or not that is just too much Mahoro to have staring at you right in the face at all times. Opinions vary. |
