9 March 2010: I'll finish those Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu posts yet

Asaba
Asaba has a Champion of Justice moment.

I really meant to complete those posts comparing Saikano and Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu earlier. Possibly I will be inspired to finish them now that I've discovered Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu rips encoded in H.264 instead of XVID. They're still AVIs, but the video quality is marginally better despite the smaller file sizes.

Asaba and Akiho
Asaba checks his shoe locker.

Really, I would buy Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu Blu-rays in a heartbeat providing they were competently mastered. This is a show that has really grown on me despite only mild enthusiasm initially. Really, it is episode three that fosters my affection for this OVA series; it gets better every time I re-watch it. The direction is deliberately auteurist, but I find it effective and I appreciate what it does for the series at its midpoint.
